My rendition of a 4-8-4 Central of Georgia "Big Apple" steam locomotive. The 4-8-4 refers to the wheel arrangement of four leading wheels, eight driving wheels, and four trailing wheels. Built during World War II in 1943, these locomotives were used to pull passenger trains.
